We now have Smartphone Access to the Facility.

Do you have trouble remembering your access code to open the gate or door to the facility?

Longview Climate Storage has invested in some new technology that will enable customers to open the gate or unlock the door by using an app named VIZpin SMART on their smartphone. If you have an Apple iPhone or a smartphone that uses the Google Android operating system, you can download the VIZpin SMART app that will enable this capability. Metal buildings of all shapes and sizes are notoriously bad for getting reliable cellular signals inside. This is true for large self-storage buildings in general and also for our facility at Longview Climate Storage. To address this problem, I installed a cell phone signal booster in the building on July 30, 2020. The cell phone signal booster is supposed to work with all cellular providers. I have personally confirmed that it works with both AT&T and Verizon and it should also work with other providers as well. You are not going to get 4-5 bars of signal strength on your cell phones, more like 2-3 bars which should be sufficient for you to make and receive calls or surf the internet.

I know that people want to be able to be reached on their cell phones at all times in case of an emergency. While in your storage unit you may have a question for your spouse at home about where to find a specific item. I trust that most customers will appreciate the boosted cell phone signal strength in the building that should allow you to be in communication with family, friends, or work.

Coronavirus Preparedness and Prevention

At Longview Climate Storage we are monitoring the latest developments regarding COVID-19. The health and safety or our employees, customers, and the local community are of utmost importance to us. We remain committed to be open for business unless the government forces us to close access to the facility. The presence of the COVID-19 virus was confirmed to exist in Longview on March 9th, 2020 so we need to be vigilant.

Precautionary steps we have taken include:

• Regular cleaning/disinfecting of all common touchpoints in the facility (keypads, door handles, light switches, toilet and sink handles, rolling cart handles, and the green PUSH TO EXIT button).
• Ensure that we have an adequate supply of liquid soap and paper towels in the bathroom.
• Providing our employees with information and steps they can take to prevent the spread of the virus.
• Posting and distributing this notice to our customers.

We rarely have a large number of people at the facility at the same time so the social distancing practice (trying to keep at least 6 feet away from others) should not be much of an issue. We ask that our customers (and their family members and friends) that access the facility to follow the Tips for Prevention (wash hands frequently, keep hands away from eyes, nose, and mouth, cover your cough or sneeze). If you, or anyone with you, feel sick or has any of the COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to the facility but be sure to call a doctor.
