Trying to decide which option is the best fit for your kitchen?
We are happy to help with some of the pros and cons of Granite and Quartz below.

**Granite**
-Granite is a natural stone that is mined from quarries so each slab is naturally unique in color or pattern.
-Granite is porous and can stain if not properly sealed annually.
-Granite is very durable and can last for decades if it's properly sealed.
-Granite can withstand higher temperatures of 480 degree or greater.
-Granite is generally more expensive than quartz.

**Quartz**
-Quartz is a man made product that is made from crushed quartz and epoxy resin.
-Quartz is non porous and stain resistant which makes this product low maintenance compared to granite.
-Quartz is just as strong as granite but has the added benefit of being flexible making them less likely to chip or crack.
-Quartz is not heat resistant as granite so protective pads are recommended when placing hot cookware on it.
-Quartz has many options in colors and patterns which helps you coordinate with your colors.

Ultimately the choice really depends on what is most important to your personal style and needs in your kitchen. If you love the unique and natural look of stone, and tough, long lasting durability, then Granite would be the best choice. But if you have a busy lifestyle and are needing something more low maintenance, stain resistant and have more options in appearance for your décor, then Quartz would be an excellent choice!

Meet the Team!

Chris Wagner

Chris joined the team in 2022 as our Longview Store Manager to open the store back up after having to shut it down due to COVID. His passion for his local community and love for people make him an integral part of our team here at Capital Stoneworks LLC.

Customers have raved about their experiences in Longview since Chris joined the team. In his off-time Chris enjoys his Church Family at New Horizons Church where he's been a part of for almost 20 Years.

Chris enjoys attending Bible Studies and has been head of the Prayer Ministry now for 13 years. He too has a passion for the coast and loves to get away to enjoy GOD's creation in Long Beach.

We are so glad that Chris joined our team here at Capital Stoneworks LLC.

Tiffani Robinson

Tiffani, joined the team in 2016 as our Office Manager to keep things in order and running smoothly. Her attention to detail and organization skills are a wonderful asset to all of us here at Capital Stoneworks LLC.

In her off-time Tiffani loves spending time with family and she carries that love for family into our lives here at the office as well. Tiffani has a heart for travel and loves the coast. She enjoys her trips to Seaside to spend time with family when she gets the opportunity.

We are very blessed to have Tiffani as an integral part of Capital Stoneworks LLC.
