I spent....alot of time on this one. Lol I almost passed it up. However the price was $10, making it just too hard to walk away. Especially being a solid wood French Provincial.
Now I wanted the chippy white paint to really pop. But the light wood underneath? ..... It really wasn't going to stand out when distressing.
I needed contrast!
So this is a common paint trick that I used... Using a contrast of colors (in this case, a dark grayish-blue under a soft white) just really made the piece stand out. And all the little distressing techniques you have? This trick will show every single one of them off ππβ€
