The wife asked me for a step stool for the bedroom. I wanted to go with the aged rough look. I used the to roughen or texture the wood and then stained it using . It turned out pretty nice but there are things that I would do differently on the next one. I would have used the pre-color and made the wood tones a light grey. She is happy with it and that ultimately all that matters.

This is the perfect example of procrastination. The last year have been working between projects on getting my small shop organized. This is one of the first tables I built - for my DEWALT table saw. I thought "I will come back and build the doors after I finish this next table". Welp, the doors still have not been made yet but that is on the list for this week 🤣.

I needed to make a repeat cut of an arch so I did what we all do - made a template. I made the SVG file of the arch in Adobe Illistrator, ran the SVG through Easel to generate the Gcode for my FoxAlien Masuter Pro, trimmed it on the Jet Bandsaw and then flush trimmed it on the router table.

Made a slight modification to the Festool Domino 500. I changed out the depth stop gauge from metric to imperial measurements. I got the new depth gage on Amazon, made by ToolCurve. The placement of the cut is spot on.

A perfect example of me being impatient. Originally I was going to band the edge faces with 1/4 wood strips but I decided to go with black veneer melamine instead. I think it turned out pretty descent. Definitely makes it look a lot cleaner. Now to do the rest of it 😳.
Oh yeah, the impatient part. That was not at all what I had in mind to work on but curiosity got the best of me - wondering “how is this going to look”🤣

Update on previous post. Wood rack storage area is complete 🎉🥳. Still need to trim it out for an esthetic appeal but at least it is now usable and I can focus on making sawdust🪚 for upcoming projects.
Started trimming out the outside and got impatient and wanted to see what it would look like with the tools hanging there 🤣.
