Interesting chairs at a Filipino restaurant in Puerto Princessa on Palawan Island. I ate good goat stew sitting in this chair. Looks to be one long strand of kooboo.

Hi everyone. I'm still wintering in the Philippines and not operating my business. I'll be back in April so please, don't lose hope, I'll work and post more starting then. I also am collecting some really cool weaving reels and videos that I will start posting soon. They are just random things but, to me at least, very interesting. There are some techniques I want to try adapting to chair weaving. Salamat at kita tayo mamaya.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your support and following. I'm heading overseas to Southeast Asia for six months starting early September. I won't post any of my work but I'll look for people who craft cane and wicker. With luck, they will let me photograph and video record their work so I can post here. Thank you all for your support.

My solution to caning seats that need to be removed from the frame. Maybe someone new to our craft will benefit.

Aaarrrgggghhh!!! Glue, glue and more glue down in the recessed slot everywhere! And that seat was locked down with more metal than a chain gang. Best part? I have 3 of these to do.
