The Facebook LIVE events for Tilley & Co’s 2020 Holiday Shoppe have been extremely fun to help plan but even more exciting to see come to fruition. Last night’s event was HUGE, soooo many amazing products but our internet decided to run at a turtle’s capacity. Good news is that all the products featured last night are also on Tilley & Co’s website (thank goodness).

Another great weekend of painting and projects! I’m putting the final touches on the big beauty I’m working on for a client, the piece looks absolutely stunning (pictures coming soon). But, in between paint projects, I also started working on holiday crafts, putting me back in my scrapbook room for some much needed crafting therapy. I’m building up inventory in preparation for Tilley & CO’s Holiday Shoppe event where the Tilley Team will host their first ever LIVE shopping extravaganza!! The Launch Party is less than two weeks away...

Take a look at this beauty! I love this style and searched high and low for one like it AND one for a fair price. Finally our paths crossed when I found her sitting tucked in behind larger furniture at the local Restore. I immediately called the hubs and asked him to meet me, I always need help loading my finds!

For those keeping count, I now have three buffets and each one very different from the others. Two passed down from family and now this gem. She was in fair shape cosmetically with great bones when I found her but now she looks absolutely gorgeous. ❤️

Excited to share my latest project, this big beauty. She’s a perfect example of how we can take a great piece with strong bones and, by simply adding gorgeous color, make it new again. By far the cheaper option. A little Dixie Belle, a little love and VOILA, another amazing furniture flip!

I am thrilled that her owner entrusted me with her makeover. Friends, the magic is definitely in full swing; I’ll post pictures as she makes her transformation.

One of my favorite things - taking a highly useful but way too plain (maybe even a bit old) piece of furniture and giving it a much needed makeover.

BEFORE
Particle board with brass hardware and an out of date k**b

AFTER:
Daisy Yellow Dixie Belle Paint
Black wax accent
Sealed w/ Clear Coat Satin
Sunflower Prima Transfer
Beautiful new hardware in antique silver (a gem I picked up during my last trip to my favorite place - San Diego)

This cabinet, formerly used in the kitchen of my hub’s grandmother, holds all my beauty supplies and is the perfect companion for my vanity.

It’s been awhile since I posted here. Hope you all are well and staying healthy.

My latest project, my closet rehab! We (the hubs) removed the old sliding doors and their tracks. They were outdated, fitful and gold (😝). For those that know me well know the mirrors were also a big issue for me (thanks to childhood games involving dark rooms and mirrors).

I bought new doors (nothing fancy, hollow, light weight and primed - Home Depot), hinges and magnets. Splurged on the k**bs, got these beauties at Wayfair. Then I busted out my favorite Dixie Belle colors (thanks Tilley & Co, my DB hookup) and had some fun. I used: Aubergine Purple, The Gulf, Peacock and Farmhouse Green. Also important in this project was my new Dixie Belle round brush, perfect for blending...my new favorite brush!!

Total project cost: $128

These turned at perfect for my room, matching nicely with my new wall color. ❤️ ❤️

Just finished off this piece, finally! Put her all together today.

Painted in French Linen by Dixie Belle; Retique It and Expresso No Pain Gel Stain for the top and a Prima reDesign transfer for elegance and femininity, all sealed with a poly sealer (also by Retique It).

I almost hate to see her go but I don’t have near enough jewelry to justify keeping it.
