Robin Gannon Interiors Best of Boston Home® 2023 – Most Versatile Interior Designer | HGTV Designer of the Year award winner

As a former criminal defense attorney, Robin Gannon takes a critical thinking approach toward every project. She considers every idea as a whole, viewing lighting and interior architecture as part and parcel of the interior design. Rooms must look beautiful before a stitch of furniture is installed or draperies are hung on the wall. With respect to that approach, Robin Gannon Interiors is a true f

ull-service design firm. Robin’s designs reflect each client’s unique tastes, incorporating pieces from across decades and centuries to create timeless interiors. The firm’s design work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Veranda, Elle Decor, Modern Luxury Interiors Boston, New England Home, This Old House, and Travel + Leisure. Robin is a 2020 HGTV Designer of the Year winner (Editor's Pick in the Waterside Retreats category). Based in the metro Boston area, Robin was also the on-air interior designer for the Lexington, Massachusetts installment of “This Old House.” She is one of ten featured designers in the 2020 book “New England Modern” by Jaci Conry. Recent residential work includes a modern penthouse condo in Boston’s Millennium Tower, an oceanfront estate on Cape Cod, a traditional Queen Anne in Newton, an equestrian estate in Connecticut, and projects all around the New England area.

Sometimes the most meaningful transformations come from rethinking how a room could be lived in. This former home office became a moody lounge, giving the homeowners a completely new way to enjoy the space once the day winds down. Swipe to see the room before it found its new purpose.

Rich color, layered pattern, and a palette that somehow feels both lively and completely at ease. This is the kind of space keeps getting better the longer you spend in it, revealing something new each time you look around.

The beauty of this Wi******er home is in the balance. Bold patterns, rich colors, and layered character give the rooms their energy, while softer textures, warm lighting, and quieter details make each space feel inviting and deeply livable.

There’s something really meaningful about a home that’s been stripped and then carefully brought back to life, where character is reintroduced in a way that feels intentional and true to how it’s meant to be lived in.

The homeowners wanted the house to feel more aligned with their everyday life, and this became a process of bringing warmth, depth, and personality back into the spaces so it could feel like their own again.

Some spaces know how to wake you up in the morning and pour you a drink at night. This pantry bar was designed to do both—with a little mood, a little glamour, and plenty of personality.

We’re fully here for the return of nailhead trim. On a straighter, more tailored seat, it has room to do what it does best: give the piece shape, edge, and intention. Paired with a soft, tactile fabric, it becomes one of the most satisfying combinations in interior design.

We loved sharing this perspective with Veranda Magazine for “The 9 Sofa Trends You’re About to See in Every Stylish Living Room".

When these clients purchased their Dover home, it was a blank slate in every sense. While their palette leaned neutral, the goal was to bring warmth, depth, and personality through texture, layered materials, and thoughtful moments of color. The result is a home that feels calm, welcoming and intentional.

Stairs do more than connect floors. They shape the way you move through a home, the way a space reveals itself to you, and the way you feel inside it. And at dusk, they really come into their own. Swipe to see it.

Designing for Kips Bay Palm Beach gave us the rare chance to be our own client—and have a little fun with it. There was a real enjoyment in watching different moments find their place and start to speak to one another in a natural rhythm.
