This outdated bed and nightstand just needed a little Dumpster Diva love! ❤️
A fresh coat of paint completely changed the look, but that nightstand top deserved a little something extra. We sanded it back down to the natural wood and gave it a rich stain, creating the prettiest contrast against the painted base. 😍
I absolutely LOVE mixing painted furniture with natural wood. It gives an older piece a fresh new look without taking away all of its original character.
Don’t toss those outdated pieces, y’all! Sometimes they’re just a little paint, stain, and imagination away from being beautiful again. ♻️❤️

There’s just something special about giving a family heirloom a new chapter. ❤️
This sweet little child’s roll-top desk has been loved for years, and now she’s been cleaned up, refreshed, and brought back to life while still keeping all that beautiful age and character that makes her special.
I didn’t want her to look brand new—I wanted her to look loved, preserved, and ready for another generation. Those little imperfections are part of her story. 🥰
From one generation to the next, this little desk will continue holding memories, treasures, homework, drawings, and who knows what else for generations to come.
THIS is why I love what I do. We aren’t just saving old furniture…sometimes we’re saving a little piece of a family’s history. ❤️

We did this beautiful wallpaper installation today, and I am in LOVE! 🤎
There’s just something about wallpaper that can completely transform a room. This soft, beautiful pattern paired with that gorgeous blue-gray trim gives the space such a charming vintage feel without making it feel dated.
Y’all know vintage has my heart, so this one was right up my alley! 😍 Sometimes it’s those finishing details that take a room from pretty to WOW!

I designed this little greenhouse from the ground up, and it’s truly one of my favorite spaces. 🤎🌿
I spent time sourcing old windows and doors, knowing I wanted it to look like it had been tucked away on an old property for generations—not something brand new off the shelf. Once I had collected just the right pieces, I designed the greenhouse around them.
Inside, I added reclaimed wood and antique corbels to create the shelves, and one of my favorite details is the antique ceiling tin on the ceiling. Every little imperfection, layer of old paint, and weathered piece gives it character that simply can’t be bought new.
There’s just something special about taking pieces from the past and giving them a new purpose. What others might have seen as old windows, doors, scrap wood, and forgotten architectural pieces, I saw as a greenhouse waiting to happen. ❤️
And of course, when fall rolls around, she gets dressed for the season! 🍂🎃
Old things. New purpose. Lots of character. That’s what Dumpster Diva’s Design is all about.

This is not completely off my Dumpster Diva topic… hear me out! 😂
Y’all know how much I LOVE sourcing things that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Give me an old dresser, a discarded door, some reclaimed wood or a piece of rusty ceiling tin and I’m gonna figure out a way to give it another life! ❤️
Saving money, saving time, and saving the planet one old piece of furniture at a time! That’s kinda what Dumpster Diva’s Design was built on.
But y’all also know I love sharing other small businesses and local vendors with you. Because keeping our little hometown businesses in business is practically doing the Lord’s work! 😂🙌
So today, we’re talking BEEF! 🥩😂
We picked up these two boxes from Bear Creek Meat Market right here in Leonard, and I was impressed!

Short ribs, stew meat, chili meat and round steak
And here's the part I LOVE…
The cows are literally ONE BLOCK from the meat market, and the beef is processed only about 10 miles away! Now THAT is buying local! 🙌
Could I drive out of town to a big box store and possibly find a certain cut a little cheaper? Maybe. But by the time I spend the gas, the time and fight the crowds, I'll happily spend my money right here in our little town. Plus, I know where this beef came from, I'm supporting local families, AND just look at the marbling on those steaks! 😍
Whether it's an old dresser that needs saving, an antique vendor with a booth full of treasures, or the folks down the road raising the beef we're putting on our dinner table… supporting local matters.
Small businesses aren't backed by giant corporations. They're backed by neighbors, friends and people like YOU choosing to spend your money with them. ❤️

Every pumpkin is created using pieces of genuine antique ceiling tin, so no two will ever be exactly alike. The chippy paint, beautiful old patterns, and perfectly imperfect patina are what make each one so special.

I posted a sneak peek of this dresser on Monday! She's all done now! I gave her a fresh new color, added beautiful new hardware, and sanded the top completely down to reveal that gorgeous natural wood. 😍
And because the little details matter, I lined the top row of drawers with beautiful vintage-inspired paper—such a sweet surprise every time you open them!
For now, I’ve left the top natural, because I thought I’d let her future owner decide. ❤️ The buyer can choose a stain color to make it their own, or leave that beautiful natural wood just as it is!
She’s got character, charm, tons of storage, and a whole new life ahead of her. Who’s going to give this beauty a home? 🥰
