It’s been along time since I did ‘Fifty Shades of Gray’ on this Jacobean Sideboard, but I thought about it today and I thought I’d share. I had fun building up multiple layers of paint and then sanding them back off to create an old world layered finish. Then, I dry brushed a lighter gray almost white color on the raised details and then added a bit of glaze and then finally dry brushed black wax to shave those details and really make them pop by giving them depth and dimension. Fun fact, my staging wall was too small so I removed the screen from the window and stood outside on the porch to take my photo! Lucky for me, it was Spring in Virginia and not too chilly! ❤️👩🏻🎨
