Custom Upholstery and Reupholstery – Distinctive Fabrics & Furniture is committed to delivering outstanding, quality custom upholstery at an exceptional value. In our North Carolina plant, we manufacture the custom furniture and upholstered headboards sold in our retail store. By managing the entire manufacturing process each piece of furniture we produce is unmatched in craftsmanship and affordability. In addition, we offer complete reupholstery and/or refinishing services for any piece of furniture that needs a fresh look for your new home. In-Home Consultation Program – Our In-Home Consultation Program provides individual assistance from an experienced design consultant to assist you in making the right decorating decisions for your new home. The consultation enables our designer to gain helpful insight into your home’s design, decorating styles and preferences. Afterward, we are better prepared to suggest how our fabrics and custom fabrication services can create the perfect look for your home.

Love these bright colors! The English Arm sofa, transitional club chairs and transitional wing chair created a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Norman. The distressed leather ottoman with decorative nail trim provided a touch of rustic elegance.

Just delivered….Channeled leather headboard mounted to the wall. Leather side rails and footboard. The lights in the headboard made installation a bit of a challenge but we are pleased with the result. What do you think?

The move out of our Cornelius retail store is complete. We will continue to provide reupholstery, furniture and window treatment services just as we have done for the last 20 years from our facility in Lenoir, NC. Our service area will continue to focus on the residential markets of metro Charlotte including Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Concord and Mooresville as well as the communities in the western part of North Carolina including Lenoir, Hickory, Blowing Rock, and Boone.

We will no longer have a retail store full of in stock fabrics open to the public. However, we will continue to special order fabrics from our many vendors just as we have done in prior years. If you find a fabric online or have the vendor name and color, do not hesitate to send us an email for a price quote. We will probably save you money. We will also reupholster your funiture using COM (Customer's Own Material). Pickup/Delivery to the Lake Norman will be each Friday as always.

Sale Ends April 16, 2021 at which time this location will be closed to the public.

We will continue to offer Reupholstery and Furniture services to the Lake Norman/Charlotte area from our Lenoir location as we have done for the last 20 years. Please continue to think of us for future projects.
