I found these easels while thrifting and knew the shape was good, but the wording definitely needed an update. Instead of passing them by, I covered the old words with decorative moulds and gave them an entirely new look.

The frames got a gorgeous glow-up with DIY Paint’s Golden Ticket, followed by DIY Dark Wax to bring out all those beautiful details and give them an aged, collected-over-time finish. Then I added JRV Rice Paper for the artwork—and I LOVE how romantic and vintage they turned out!

Proof that outdated thrift store decor doesn’t have to stay outdated. A little paint, moulds, and pretty paper can turn a dated find into something that looks like it came from a high-end French country antique shop. 🤎

Thrifted, painted & transformed! 🌿✨ There’s just something so satisfying about taking forgotten thrift store finds and turning them into beautiful cottage-style decor.

For these thrift flips we used the gorgeous IOD Saint Germain Transfer paired with Cottage Color Paint in Pacific, Vintage Mint & Garden Sage. We also pulled out designs from this month’s JRV Stencil Subscription to add those extra details that make each piece feel completely one-of-a-kind.

I love how all of these different finds now coordinate without being too matchy-matchy—the florals, vintage colors and a little bit of distressing brought everything together perfectly. 🌸
