This is the most resawing I've ever done. Scored some 12/4 walnut 9-11" wide and 11ft long from the 1960's. Turns out the blade is worth the money! Laguna 14BX putting in the work!

A quick project: complete refurbishment of some Adirondack chairs, some sapele and some STK western red cedar. They were tests for weathering over 2 year period to see how each wood weathered (both good outdoor woods) and also test 2 outdoor fiinishes. Both weathered about as expected, but the cedar was a little worse for the wear. And I discovered one finish I will never use again, and one that is now my go-to for outdoor furniture. (Comment below if you want to know the "never again" product)

Process: totally disassemble the entire chair into all of its piece parts, run through drum sander, edge sand, apply new round over at router table, reassemble, and apply 4 coats of General Finishes Exterior 450 in semi-gloss.

I love doing projects like this! "Upgraded" the fiberglass baptism tub by adding black plywood panels (to replace velcro & black fabric) to hide the 2x4 support structure (see last picture). Also added heavy duty removable casters and a walnut lid with the "Death to Life" slogan laser engraved! First use is tomorrow morning! If in Loudoun County, VA come on out to McLean Bible Church.

Taking that time to set up your tools properly is where it's at! When I recently got my new drum sander, I set it up in a big hurry to crank out a small project. I didn't realize that in my rush, I put both washers on the same side of the bolt, making it impossible to get the conveyor and the drum perfectly parallel. Finally discovered the error and with washers on correctly, i got them parallel. Live and learn - don't sacrifice tool calibration for Speed!
