Absolutely!
Today I had a moment where I got down on myself. I started thinking about how I wasn’t fully happy with how my flower turned out. I started comparing myself to other makers and how much better theirs look compared to mine.
But then I realized they’ve all been here. Attempting to do something new and honestly, probably the same thoughts I had to myself. “So and so’s flowers look so much better.”
What I also realized, is that even though I’m comparing my work to someone else’s (I know I shouldn’t do this) Someone is also probably looking at my work, hoping they will one day, be where I’m at.
Here’s the thing about art. There is no right or wrong and everyone starts as a beginner. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We all know that we are our own worst critics and it can be hard to get out of that mindset.
But what makes the difference is that you keep trying, keep improving and don’t give up. Cause here’s the thing….
There’s 1000% chance that someone is looking up to you, loves your work and wants to be able to have your skill.
Don’t forget to keep on keepin’ on.
