After almost starting this buffet cabinet about three different times over the last year, I’m so happy to say it is finished!

I had a vision for this one nearly from the beginning- to make it modern, light, and airy feeling with a linen look inspired by Serena & Lily’s Driftway series.

I didn’t quite get to make all the changes I had hoped to, but I still adore how it turned out. ❤️

What do you think? And for those of you saw my story/poll about the keeping the doors on or taking them off, it was a 50/50 split between Facebook and Instagram combined. 😆

This one has been sitting in my living room all evening and I keep thinking... Does it look better without the doors?

When I started this project, I wanted to flatten the curve at the top of the doors, but the middle panel is curved too, so that isn't an option.

Then I wanted the change the hinges so they would be more hidden (the original sit outside of the cabinet and on top of the doors), but I couldn't get any other hinges to work with it.

*Side note: I know that the doors are lighter than the rest. It's part of why I didn't get to finish today and something I plan to remedy tomorrow.

With all of that rolling around in my head, I keep looking over at it without the doors. It looks more modern to me, and it solves all the door issues, but does it look unfinished?

These turned into the cutest nightstands that I am still half tempted to keep. I love each little detail about them- the curved drawer fronts, the flowers on either side, that mahogany veneer on top that I had to save. Such a sweet project from start to finish!

When I got my package from I knew their color Tapestry would be perfect for this set and I know now that it will be a favorite of mine for a long time. I can see this color on so many projects now!
