From Highway to Creek Bed: Instant Infrastructure with RFC! 🛠️🌉

When we say "turnkey solutions," we mean it! This month, we're highlighting the specialized work our crews do to deliver and install our signature flatcar bridges across the Pacific Northwest.

We don't just build these durable, cost-effective bridges in our yard—we handle the complex logistics of hauling them (Swipe to see the semi!) and the precision engineering of setting them in place (Keep swiping to see the crane!). 🏗️💪

For 50 years, Rick Franklin Corporation has been helping landowners, farmers, and municipalities get where they need to go. If you're ready to bridge the gap this build season, let's talk!

Fueling Big Dreams at Dozer Days! 🚜✨

There is nothing quite like watching a kid's face light up when they clamber up into the cab of a massive piece of heavy machinery.

We had an incredible time sponsoring Dozer Days in Knife River earlier this month! From family moments to seeing the next generation of builders get behind the controls, it was a fantastic celebration of the trades.

For 50 years, Rick Franklin Corporation has been rooted in the Pacific Northwest, and investing in our community’s future will always be our favorite project. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to explore the big rigs with us! 🏗️💪

Getting the Playground Ready for Summer! 🛠️🧒

The Rick Franklin Corporation crew was out at the Boys & Girls Clubs of The Greater Santiam this month to help with a much-needed grounds refresh.

We were proud to donate our equipment and team to help give the kids a fresh place to play. Our crew stayed busy:

Spreading fresh wood chips across the playground for a safer surface.

Refreshing the sandbox with a delivery of new sand.

Grading the staging area and parking lot with a fresh layer of gravel.

Being a part of this community for 50 years means showing up for our neighbors. We’re happy to help keep the Club looking its best!

Celebrating National Train Day with some Serious Muscle! 🛠️💪

While the locomotives take center stage this weekend at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, our crews at Rick Franklin Corporation are busy behind the scenes keeping them in top shape.

For 50 years, we’ve been the "hands-on" part of the railroad story in the Willamette Valley. From synchronized lifts like this one to emergency repairs in the middle of the night, we take pride in the grit it takes to keep our community’s history moving forward.

Happy National Train Day to all the railfans, operators, and crews who keep the PNW rolling! 🚂✨

Two 50-year legacies, one community. 🛠️✨

We are honored to be a sponsor for the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Santiam’s “A Night of Stars: Celebrating 50 Years” happening tomorrow night.

For five decades, this organization has been a North Star for the youth in our area. As a company that has also called this region home for 50 years, we know that the strongest infrastructure we can build is a foundation for the next generation.

We’re proud to join in honoring the stars of our past and investing in the stars of our future. Congratulations on 50 incredible years!

Across the country, bridge projects are accelerating.

Funding is at peak disbursement. State DOTs are moving billions into bridge work. And the window to get projects completed before federal deadlines close is shrinking fast.
RFC has been ready for this moment.

Flatcar bridges installed. Crews in the field. Equipment moving. We don't just talk about what we can do — we show up and build it.

While others are ramping up, our teams are already on-site delivering results. That kind of experience and availability doesn't appear overnight — it's built job by job, span by span.
If your project is in motion and you need a proven partner, we're not hard to find.

RFC crews recently completed installation of a bridge in the Pacific Northwest. Our bridges are built from repurposed railcar materials — reducing waste and delivering a durable, cost-effective span that’s ready for service.

With lengths available up to 89 feet, RFC flatcar bridges are engineered for industrial and short line rail operations where reliability and fast installation matter.

This is the kind of work we do every month. Real materials. Real crews. Real results.

RFC was featured in Western Forester magazine for our work on a major bridge project in remote Alaska — and we couldn’t be more proud of it.
In 2024–2025, 19 railcar bridges were installed on Afognak Island in the Kodiak Archipelago, replacing aging log stringer crossings under a USDA Bridge Grant program. Each bridge weighed approximately 45,000 lbs. RFC supplied the full order — all at once — so the barge trip from Seattle to the island was viable.
When the job is remote and the logistics are complicated, RFC is the supplier that makes it work. Grateful to be recognized in Western Forester for this one.

Safety isn’t a goal we "reach"—it’s the standard we live by.

At RFC, a 50-year legacy isn’t just built on the projects we’ve completed; it’s built on the trust we’ve earned. We believe that doing things the "right way" is the only way to ensure our crews and partners go home safely every single day.

For us, safety is a core value woven into:

- Rigorous Training: Continuous education for every team member.

- Best Practices: Adhering to (and exceeding) industry standards.

- A Culture of Accountability: Empowering every person on-site to prioritize security over speed.

Half a century of excellence started with a commitment to safety. We’re proud to carry that foundation into the next 50 years.
