Do you know why we chose to name our company Firefly?

The name of our small business goes all the way back to the early days of my relationship with my spouse. One evening, while we were still dating we decided to take the 4 wheelers down a gravel road to the old swinging bridge. There we saw a sight so pretty it left us amazed. Thousands upon thousands of fireflies had swarmed into the valley below and the skies looked like clouds of glitter ✨️ floating and falling in front of us. My now husband remarked he had been to the same bridge hundreds of times but had never in his life seen fireflies like that. We learned later that a firefly swarm of that size is a natural phenomenon and rare to witness. We were blessed to have seen something truly special.

The magic we felt watching those fireflies dance is the inspiration behind our name. While we certainly cannot compete with the splendor of God's creation, we do hope our customers feel a small bit of joy when they take home something uniquely handmade they won't find somewhere else. We love what we do and we put our hearts and hard work into what we make--whether it's refinishing furniture, creating works of art like our mosiac wood art or crafting seasonal products for the home.

It is our hope to continue to spread a little joy to our customers by creating hand crafted and unique items for years to come. Thank you to each one of you reading this for being a small part of supporting our dream.

We look forward to seeming many of you at our next event (TC'S Junk Nov 3rd and 4th in Lebanon, MO) before slowing down to enjoy the holiday season.

🎄🎁 Christmas day is only 79 days away!🎄It's time to talk about presents 🎁!

We have been honored that many of you have asked about ordering a barn quilt for a loved one as a Christmas gift this season.

If you are wanting a project done for this season please message us ASAP as we will only be able to fulfill a limited number of requests this year. We are excited to be adding a new member to our family soon and so our time will be limited as we enter the holiday season.

Firefly Furniture, Art, and Decor will be at Jefferson City Fairgrounds this Friday 10 to 5 and Saturday 9 to 3! Come see our witch hats, scarecrows, mummies, candy corns, door hangers, furniture and last but not least wood mosiac art!

We are very thankful for all the support we received at the show today! Because almost every item in our booth is made by us by hand, we take a lot of pride and enjoyment in what we do. It really does mean so much to us when we get to interact with each one of you and see the excitement over browsing our booth or taking home a new treasure. Thank you all so much for making this show a pleasure and a success!
