Looks like beautiful weather today for Pioneer Days!

Starting at 4, we’ll have music at the south shelter. Volleyball will be set up, along with a few yard games. We’ll also have balloons, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk to entertain the little ones.

Dillon church will be selling burgers and hotdogs from 5-8.

Don’t forget your lawn chairs for Stampede at 8 and fireworks at 9:30!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY!

Thanks to some amazing efforts by some former council members and city employees, a Pioneer Day celebration will return for 2019 THIS WEEKEND, Saturday, August 24th at LeGrand Public Park.

Since the celebration is such short notice, there will not be a parade this year but we hope everyone will come out to the park starting at 4pm and gather as a community for music, yard games, burgers and hot dogs starting at 5, a live band starting at 8 followed by fireworks at 9:30!!

We want to thank all the community members that made this possible by donating either time or funding and to those that were willing to help pull off a last minute opportunity to pull our community together!

There is no Pioneer Days for 2019 or scheduled for the future due to lack of volunteers to help plan and work the event. There was hope that it might be revived with a new group but this has not happened. We will continue to keep this page live in case there are any new developments.

The weather looks PERFECT for Pioneer Days!! Please come enjoy the festivities with us. Below is a more detailed schedule with the latest updates.

Smile for Mason 5K Run and Fun Walk - registration at 7:15 at the East Marshall Football Field. $25 for Race and TeeShirt or $10 for Race only.

Breakfast Burrito and Pancake Breakfast benefitting the East Marshall Concession Stand Committee from 7-10 am in the LeGrand community center.

Mick's Car and Truck Show begins with registration at 9am and awards at 2:00. Held on Main Street across from post office. Motorcycle show by Full Tilt Motorcycle Club will benefit MS with a $10 entry fee. Also on Main Street.

Pioneer Heritage Library will be celebrating their 40th anniversary with an Open House from 10-4 and come on in to shop our craft vendors too!

Parade begins at 11am. Route will be Main Street, to South Franklin, Julian, Vine and Benton, to North Franklin.

All other activities and vendors will be held in the park area including the community center and amphitheatre. Craft fair and food vendors will be on Main Street and the Park.

Le Grand Fire and EMS Lunch will be at the Community Center from noon to 2.

We recommend you bring your own chairs for the amphitheatre performances!!

Due to issues beyond our control, we will no longer be having a beer garden in the park. Alcoholic beverages of any kind will not be allowed. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
