Had an opportunity to bring this little family heirloom back, so this sweet young family can use it in their beautiful new home. I fondly called it their little green monster, but it has such a unique shape and was well made and something that she had in the family for many years. So, after lots of stripping and sanding we got through all the layers and were able to freshen it up with Jet Black by Melange Paint. Added a couple layers of water repellant topcoat to make sure it will hold up to the wear and tear that comes with a young active household. The coolest thing was this was a repeat customer that has been so happy with some nightstands they got about a year ago that they trusted us to refresh this special piece. Now that the weather is better, I'm ready to get to work so if you or someone you know is looking for something special, I'd love to help.

We’ve had the honor of redoing multiple dressers that were going to welcome precious newborns to their home and this time it was for ours. So honored that my son and daughter-in-law (Kaleigh McCain)trusted us to refurbish this beautiful antique dresser to be part of their cozy vintage style nursery. This was our first full restoration, no paint. After completing a few repairs, I refinished the surface with General Finishes gel-stain in Antique Walnut and was able to even bring the hardware back to its original luster. I added some cozy tartan plaid drawer liners to fit the vibe and it looks just perfect in his nursery!
We also made the cutest floating book shelves stained in the same color and adding a cute gold rail to hold some of the special books he has already received.
Such an exciting time and beyond grateful we got to be a part in preparing his special space when he arrives home. If you or someone you know is looking for a perfect piece for their space I’d love to help.

Honored to be able to help another friend add the perfect piece to help create a “Cozy Cabin” vibe for her first grandbaby’s nursery. We did a color match with this deep, woodsy green using SW Emerald Urethane to match an accent wall in the nursery and refinished the top in a rugged dark walnut to match the crib. We built a removable changing pad tray and stained it to match the dresser top. I hope this will serve as a multi-purpose piece, adding lots of storage for many years for this sweet young family.

We tried something new and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Our kids in Oklahoma wanted some built-ins in their home office and after lots of research we came up with a plan. It changed multiple times but ultimately it came together. We learned so much through the process but the biggest take away was don’t believe how simple they make it look in those 3 minute DIY reels!😅 Building, prepping and painting it in Texas, and transporting it and installing in two different phases made it a bit more challenging, but they were patient and trusted the process and in the end they were so pleased! I just can't get over this transformation! I grabbed this awesome antique sideboard produced by Empire Furniture Corp, at an auction in Oklahoma. Although it was in great shape, I just didn't feel like the size and style was going to be something that would be appealing to just refinish. So after playing with multiple design ideas, I decided we should repurpose it into a wine cabinet. We decided to make two of the drawers into horizontal wine storage and changed the cabinet door by putting in a glass front. (see last picture) We painted the body with a beautiful neutral called Restoration Bronze by Melange Paint and then stained the top with Voodoo Gel Stain in Au'Natural by Dixie Belle. For protection and durability, everything was top coated with Armadillo Topcoat also from Melange Paint. I added some legs and new brushed brass hardware, and I think it is the perfect combination of modern and traditional. I can see this as a multifunctional piece with plenty of storage to serve as a wine cabinet or a home bar station in somebody's home. Check out my listing on Marketplace or message me for details. The before and after on these is amazing. We actually purchased these Broyhill nightstands to use for parts on another project, knowing that the tops were in rough shape (see last photo). But once we got what we needed from them I decided we should push ourselves and see if they could be saved. And well, I think they will get a second chance now! After replacing the tops with new wood we painted them in a beautiful shade of green called "Eventide Green" by Melange paint and gave them a nice protective topcoat of Armadillo by Melange. Then because the parts we used were on the base we decided to build custom made wood bases and I wanted to keep it light so I stained it with Voodoo Gel Stain, by Dixie Belle, in the color Au'Natural. These are quality nightstands that have now been modernized and will add a touch of color, while remaining neutral enough to coordinate in a variety of spaces. So honored to have a dear friend reach out looking for the perfect piece for her new grandbaby's nursery. She gave me the color and dimensions and asked me to see what we could find. I was so thrilled to find this well-made Broyhill dresser that just needed some TLC. We were able to give it a second chance and now it will be there to welcome their sweet baby boy home. I truly love bringing back pieces that seem to have served their time, but it's even more rewarding when I get to do it for a friend. Nobody called dibs when I offered to customize this pair, so I picked this beautiful color, Antique Black by Melange Paint. It is an earthy off-black color that is the perfect shade to add a touch of charm and sophistication. I loved the brushed brass k***s to modernize and add some contrast to the dark color and I found the perfect complementary drawer liners. I forgot to take a before of these but imagine the dark reddish-brown bedroom furniture from around the 1980's that had big heavy bases and a glossy surface. In order to update that look we slimmed down the base on all sides so that it gives it a softer more updated look. These really are stunning. So happy I was able to make these beautiful 3 drawer nightstands work for a new client. She had seen an earlier set and really wanted the perfect shade of green and Acadia by Dixie Belle came through for the win. She also wanted silver hardware, which I think it was a perfect touch with his beautiful deep shade of green. Matching pairs are hard to find, and I love that this set had the built-in plug that allows the cords to be tucked away. She just picked them up and was so pleased! It is so fun saving old unwanted pieces and being able to bring someone's vision to life. What girl can't use more closet space? This beautiful, solid pine armoire has been refurbished and repurposed to be the perfect storage cabinet to accommodate all the things as your little one grows. Painted with high quality Melange One Furniture Paint in a soft sage called Ginkgo Green and topped with Melange Armordilla topcoat for extra protection, this well-made piece can add storage and beauty for years to come. The large upper storage space has one adjustable shelf and removable clothing rod, along with three large drawers. We added all new brushed gold hardware along with beautiful floral drawer liners in each drawer. This solid wood cabinet has so much versatility. The third color I decided to use from the Dixie Belle Paint Company National Parks Silk Line, might the most beautiful of them all. I refinished these nightstands with color "Smoky Mountains" which is described as a smoky, dark gray inspired by the mystique of the Great Smoky Mountains. It goes on to say it captures the park's signature haze and the rugged beauty of its ancient forests and towering peaks. Which is why I feel like it definitely has some subtle green undertones. It truly is beautiful and I think will be neutral enough to compliment a variety of color palates. The other thing that makes this set a little more special is that I am learning and becoming more and more confident, and I can actually say this set was all me! 😊No help from Gee! This classic pair has a simplistic style, good quality and I think they will be a great addition to someone's space. Although I am usually trying to find ways to modernize and update our pieces, on this one I decided we should pay homage to its original beauty. This sweet little antique was left roadside, and it was just too unique and beautiful to leave for the landfill. After a good clean and sand, we used Jett Black by on the body to add some sophistication, but accentuated the beautiful oak top with Van D**e Brown glaze giving it a moody two-tone look. We also topped the entire piece with general finishes flat topcoat for extra protection. New brushed-gold drawer pulls and refinished hardware added the perfect touch. I can see this charming two drawer piece, with its original beveled glass mirror in so many spaces. From a guest room or nursery to an entryway or sitting room, it is going to make a statement wherever it goes.
