Seanair's Cove Woodworking

Seanair's Cove Woodworking There’s nothing else like it. There’s nothing else like it, and for these reasons Ken Price has been a woodworker his entire life.

Fine woodworking is valued not only for its natural beauty, but also for its smoothly sculpted feel, its unmatched aroma, and its flexibility for creating quality furniture that will last generations. Ken’s father, a carpenter, exposed him to woodworking at a very young age. Ken also became an avid outdoorsman – sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fly fishing, hiking – and this became an inspiration for

many natural wood creations. His love for the craft grew over the years as he began designing a wide range of custom furniture. He also owned a marine woodworking company that performed custom projects on both sail and power boats, and he was an active member of the Chesapeake Boat Building School where he expanded out into wooden boat and kayak construction plus restoration projects. Ken’s specialty is high quality, heavy duty, casual furniture, intended for appreciative everyday use with your family and friends. Most of his work has a nautical, beach, or outdoors theme. To provide a unique sense of quality and variety, projects frequently incorporate multi-species and free-form laminations for rich dramatic contrast and strength. They always succeed at both looking good and feeling good. You receive velvet finishes, smooth lines, and hand-curved edges. He calls it “touchable furniture”. True to his love of water communities and the outdoors, Ken lives in the Pacific Northwest on Whidbey Island with his wife Pat, dog Sailor, and a well used woodworking shop.
