It's hard to think of a worse way to die than being 13,000 feet below sea level and suffocating to death in a submersible. That sounds like an absolutely horrible way to go. It's a tragedy and a heartbreaking ordeal for all the families involved.

One thing worth noting is the amount of time, effort, and money spent toward saving the Titan submersible. We put an untold amount of resources in the hopes of rescuing a bunch of billionaires who chose to put themselves in harm's way to view a ship that sank over a century ago. We should also put an equivalent amount of effort and resources into rescuing the countless many who are attempting to escape some of the most oppressive and brutal places and regimes on planet Earth.
