American Birthday Chair🪑🇺🇸👏
My client needed to add a dining chair to the previous 4 custom created last year for her at Serenity Solutions (see pics 3-10).
She found this heavy western chair that would complement that set (although it was designed differently.. it had a carved star). To me, a star design like this one says "Texas". As a lifelong Colorado resident, a snow skier and a Denver Broncos fan, it just could NOT be Texas! I had to find a way to use it that meant something other than Texas. Taking creative liberties, I went in the patriotic direction... In honor of our country's 250th birthday, the star became part of a flag representation that also included stripes made with speckled longhorn cowhide and red tooled leather fabric with the dates "1776-2026" included. The back features a cowboy riding in silhouette in front of the American flag; a red, white, and blue pendleton blanket, and a graphic with a "We the People" quote. And, of course, I added the show stopping 18" inch suede leather fringe!
