As I reflect on this season - my second as a born again Christian - I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and have experienced Jesus’s love and care so. He is truly the most loving father, a counselor, our God, and the giver of peace. He’s all of these things to His children. My prayer and Christmas wish is that ALL will come before Him and surrender their hearts and lives and experience the love and peace that only He provides. He’s designed us to walk with him - take his hand. It’s there.

All stems are from and I’m S O impressed with the quality of the greenery. I opted for faux since the real stuff dries out so fast and I want this looking good through February. Wisconsin winters are no joke and this adds so much color and fun!
Took advantage of the last nice day to get the porch fancied up to celebrate Jesus!!! I’m thankful for the creativity He has gifted me with. I could feel His presence yesterday as I created this arrangement - all things creative that bring beauty glorify Him!

I’ve been MIA for a L O N G time and have contemplated getting off altogether. But . . . Here I am. I need to be creative while battling Lyme disease so I’m stepping into doing free designs again. Most if not all of my designs will be Jesus inspired. He’s my reason for everything - once you meet Him - that’s all you care about. If you know, you know.

Anyway, would highly recommend for fabulous devotion books and for tasteful and gorgeous Christian art!

The hardest part of my health journey thus far is coming to terms with how critical it is for me to rest and to trust - not in myself but in him. Every health setback is an opportunity to trust him more deeply and to do as he commands . . . To Rest. Even when I endure this suffering, which is not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed, I am joyful and I see the beauty in these difficult moments.

We all long for light, to bask in the warmth of the rays, to find deep and lasting rest for our souls. That is available to all of us - right now and always - no matter the circumstances or the season. Thankful to be at “rest” despite the storms for the first time in my life.

Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mathew 11:28-30

Tips and Tricks:
1. Sometimes too many shelves, visually clutter the space. In this instance, I had one shelf removed, and then equally staggered the remaining.
2. When styling large shelves, remember that large scale items are better too many small scale items are very distracting.
3. Stick with a cohesive color palette! In this case, I used a lot of neutrals and a pop of navy as the room color palette is pretty serene, and the main accent color is navy blue.
4. Always choose items of varying height, texture, shape, and color
5. Try to work in a diagonal! As you can see things are strategically located in diagonals you never have a book next to a book! They are staggered diagonally on shelves!

I’ve been thinking about beautiful spaces a lot lately. And the thing is . . . on earth they are temporary.
We all long for beautiful home, for a space where we can rest, create, live, and be surrounded by joy and peace. We can have that here . . . but it’s limited and ephemeral. Our true home is eternal. I’m more worried about making my insides beautiful now and spending more time refining my heart with God than obsessing about my home and trends. Because of this - I’m healing in a way that I never thought possible. ✝️ for by grace you are saved through faith and this is not of your own doing but a gift from God ❤️✝️🥳
