JRC's Christmas/New Years PARTY is TOMORROW night December 28, at the shome of Paul Trouth!!! You don't want to miss this!

Time: 6:00pm-10pm
Place: 113 West Jim Pickens Rd. Sulphur 70663 (use your map app)

BYOB--we'll have plenty of mixers, Coke, etc and LOTS of great food!! We'll also have games with prizes for winners, plus a great door prize!! Hope to see everyone there!!

Don't forget!! The Christmas Light Bike ride will be this Tuesday night, Dec 17th!
Start location: 1714 Loretto Avenue, Sulphur 70663-- (see directions below)
Time: 6-8pm
This is a FAMILY event--bring the kids! After the ride there will be plenty of food, drinks, and hot cocoa too!!
PRIZES will be awarded so you won't want to miss this!!!!!!

Directions: From I-10 take DeQuincy exit (Beglis) and head north ~1/4 mile. Turn LEFT on Argin St and follow til you get to Loretto. House is on the corner of Argin and Loretto. (2 story house with flat roof)
From north, east, or west Sulphur: take Cypress St (near the Kroger's shopping center), turn south on Loretto at the red light, house is 0.4miles on the left.
**The house has plenty of bicycle parking--if you'd like, park at the Krogers parking lot and ride your bike around the block!

Please Be Kind to Cyclist gave a presentation today for the Mayor, city council and local law enforcement agencies. The founder of the organization, Al Bastisdas was invited by Michelle Horak who organized the event. The purpose of the presentation was to educate city officials and planners about problems cyclists face traversing our communities. They also made suggestions for improving city infrastructure. Al gives presentations around the country and has helped many cities establish cycling friendly/safe environments.
Michelle will be starting a Please Be kind to cyclist chapter for Calcasieu parish soon so please visit the webpage http://www.bekindtocyclists.org/ and like their page for information on helping our parish to become a cycling friendly place.
