Entrepreneurship is something that has been in my blood since I was young. The drive to have something of my own is part of what launched me into creating Barn Blvd.
Another part that drove me is my passion for home decor and furniture, not because of the thrill of selling items, but rather the thrill of helping people find items to put in their homes that will be a part of a person's life. How cool it is to help people find the objects they will give as gifts for life's big moments or items they will use in their own homes as the backdrop to their own specific life. It inspires me.
Connecting with people is what drives me through life. I think we have something to learn from anyone's story. We all have a story. This weekend I was humbled, motivated and inspired by an amazing customer who after one meeting by the time she left, I now call my friend. I rarely share personal details as I am a private person, but this customer moved me. Without saying too much, this person told me my store provided her a place of comfort. She felt a warm atmosphere and openness that gave her the ability to help heal a unimaginable life experience she encountered. This is why I do what I do. I have a full time job, husband, 1 yr old daughter, a second marketing business and Barn Blvd. I work a lot, and I will not rest if I get to continue to move people because the return gift I feel is priceless. What an honor to know Barn Blvd gave someone a feeling they needed. It doesn't get better then that.
Barn Blvd is getting ready for the next chapter, a bigger and more fierce chapter. I can't wait to take you on our journey, it's going to be a wild ride.
