In our area, if you live on the beach, you must incorporate "Dark Sky" lighting fixtures on your home's exterior. These fixtures focus the light downward, rather than outward, so that turtle hatchlings are not confused. You see, they are drawn to the ocean by moonlight and shouldn't confuse porch lights with the moon. We like this discovery ~ dark-sky exterior sconces in a hammered bronze finish.
