A big thank you to Jes and Wes of in Knoxville for inviting me to visit and spend some time in their killer shop in Knoxville, TN this weekend (To be specific .. NORTH Knoxville *wink*).

I’ve been so busy in the studio, but focused and reflecting on so many other parts of life this year that posting content on my work here has seemed insignificant. It was inspiring, informative, and also humbling to spend some time talking craft and life with two like minded people who each have over 20 years of experience in upholstery and are living what seems like such a well-rounded and playful life in general.

I love what I do and am proud of how far I’ve come in the small chunk of time I’ve done it, but there is still so much to learn! I look forward to continuing that journey, and I definitely look forward to spending more time picking the brains of these fine folks. Thanks for the recharge you two! ❤️ 🛠 🛋

Twofer Tuesday! Let’s just take a minute to appreciate this whole look. 😍
Gilded, antique balloon back chairs in teal velvet, framed in gold gimp cord, with a lovely forest scene for the picture backs.
Velvet and gimp cording are very traditional choices for pieces like these, but going with a bold color and a vibrant print for the back really makes a difference. I love everything about these! 👌🏼

A full make over on a set of sturdy, button-tufted arm chairs for the design team at .
With some creative thinking, there’s so much that can be done to update older pieces. We took down quite a bit of the padding, switched out the skirt style, and went with a detached cushion to give these a more contemporary feel. Much better, we think!
