We are officially on vacation. All messages will be deleted. No donations will be accepted. No pick ups, no deliveries. If you see me on my porch I am not home. See you on the 29th.

Mission Moment for Tuesday.
We picked up at Walmart today. Several items in the cubbies.
Had to bring home some of the stuff that was left in the cubbies to put in my trash can. We cannot accommodate everyone`s trash.
We got the van unloaded, things processed, and put away.
We delivered a twin, complete bed to a single mom for her daughter.
We picked up a school supply purchase from a friend that buys pallets.
Also found jeans on sale for $5, shoes on sale for $5, and boy`s shirts for $1, at Walmart. All for our back to school project. We still are in need of two days for someone to provide lunch for my volunteers.
Loaded the van with recycling to take to the bin when it is empty.
I thought we were done so went home. Angela contacted me about a homeless couple who stopped by. I think she gave them food, and an air mattress and pillows They are sleeping in the back of their truck, a cooler and some ice we had. Not sure what all they got, but they were extremely thankful.
Then someone let me know they needed food this morning but I forgot, so Angela got their food ready including a cake mix and candles for the little girl`s birthday.
Then I saw where a friend was getting rid of a dresser so I got off the couch and went to get it. Loaded it myself.
So only have one appointment tomorrow. I will take care of that then will not be back in the office until Friday. The heat and I do not get along. I will drop off the van on Thursday for an oil change and a good check over while I am at home in the AC.
Just a heads up, I will not be in the office on hot, muggy days. So just leave a message and I will call back as soon as I am there.

Mission Moment for Friday.
Only had one appointment today but the fun did not stop there.
A young mom came in to get diapers, bottles, and baby clothes.
I got 3 more furnace filters changed.
The internet that was installed Wednesday does not work, so I joyfully was on on the phone with AT&T, which made my day.
We received 15 doz. eggs and 11 ham and cheese sandwiches, all of those are gone.
We got the weeds whacked out back, thank you Mike!
I moved our outside benches and prepared cleaning supplies so the windows can be cleaned tomorrow. Not holding my breath.
Angela ran the sweeper in the office.
Then getting my washer fixed at home at 1:00 and my water leak looked at, at 3:00.

Mission Moment for Wednesday.
Did not have any appointments today but that never stops things from happening.
Received a donation of furniture.
Gave out 10 shirts, 3 shorts, 2 leggings, a pair of shoes, and a cleaner to a lady.
Gave a family of 3 food. He had walked to the mission so took him and his food home.
B & R Fire Protection brought back our fire extinguishers that needed recharged or replaced. We have 11 extinguishers in our building.
I replaced another furnace filter. Five done. three more to go.
I delivered a table to a disabled man and his daughter.
We picked up a case of water for our Back To School volunteers so they won`t get dehydrated, lol.
"Supervised" the AT&T repairman. We needed more internet service since our building is so big.
We took out more recycling.
Trying to get everything caught up so when we go to our happy place we will not have anything on our minds but resting and Jesus.
It`s a good thing we did not have any appointments.
Angela has a neurologists appointment in Indy tomorrow, so I may take the day off. Leave a message if no one answers.
Still need 3 more lunches provided for our back to school project which is July 22-Aug. 4.

Mission Moment for Tuesday.
So I went to pick up our usual Walmart donations this morning. They did not have anything. First time that has happened.
I did make a delivery in C-ville while I was there.
My friend Alisha, volunteered today. She got several hygiene packets done for our back to school project. I think she said we could use more trial size shampoo. I prepared all my back to school forms and all the paperwork that we use for that. I also shelved erasers and spiral notebooks. We still need broad line Crayola Washable markers and wide spiral notebooks. We also need 3 more lunches covered if you would like to help in that way.
Our painters finished painting the trim on our south building and stained the deck. Looks awesome. Still waiting on the windows upstairs to be cleaned so we can call to get our awnings installed.
Took our recycling to the bin.
Put donated food on the shelves.
Do not forget about free lunch served M-T at the park.
We will have lemonade and water at our concert on Aug. 11. May have other things as I have time to deal with that.
I am wanting to take some time off before it gets too hot. Would love for our windows and awnings to be done so I will not have that on my mind while sitting in the woods by the creek.

Mission Moment for Thursday.
Angela got all the recycling taken to the bin.
We picked up furniture in cville with the help of Drew and Donna. Thanks you guys. You are life savers.
Needed to pick more furniture. Did not have the number to call them. Looked online and my friends list, could not find her. The number we called was disconnected. I had help and a trailer so wanted to get it done today. Then I finally found her and and was going to send her a message. My computer would not let me. So I had to come home and send the message. Well, my desk top would not let me send a message either. So I used my ipad and sent a message and called her. No response. So I gave up and messaged my helpers that we would have to try another day.
I prepared a box of food for a woman with 6 kids for pick up tomorrow.
I pulled weeds around the building.
I had painters painting outside, looks pretty awesome.
Shifty`s donated several bags of cans.
An older lady and gentleman came in for a walker.
Stopped at Ace to get paint and stain for the deck. They always give a discount, thank you so much!
Delivered two fans to two ladies in C-ville.
Need volunteers to furnish lunch for our back to school project. We just have 3 days to fill.
A friend ordered markers and crayons and having them sent to us. Thank you Brenda!
I`m almost to the point where I need to go my friend`s cabin on the creek. Waiting on the weather.
