In 2006, when most stores were struggling to stay in business, Jeff Olson started selling furniture online & using his own garage as a warehouse. After doing that for a couple of years Jeff and his wife, Stevie, opened Hawks Prairie Home Furnishings in the summer of 2008. Since
then they have grown from a small outlet store with only 1 employee to a fine home furnishings store with 16 full time employees. Hawks Prairie Home Furnishings offers an extensive selection to fill any home on any type of budget. They feature many things that their competitors do not. They offer same day delivery on most of their products and since they store 5-7 times as much inventory in their warehouse as they do on their sales floor they have many items in stock! Jeff and Stevie have always felt it was important to give back and ever since Hawks Prairie Home Furnishings opened they have been heavily involved in the community, they support organizations such as TMTL (Truly Motivated Transitional Living), which is locally operated in Yelm. They support The Boys & Girls Club as well as Big Brothers and Big Sisters. They are also affiliated with Concern for Animals.
