How is it?
OK Guys I took todays Devotional for God's Grace Studios that i wrote and made it into a BD Comic. How did I do? (see the full devotional here) https://godsgracestudios.com/bring-it-into-the-light/
Well friends, sometimes we're a lot like a cracked board in the shop. πͺ΅
We know there's a problem, but instead of dealing with it, we try to cover it up. A little glue here. A little duct tape there. Maybe if nobody sees it, it'll magically fix itself. π
The truth is, that's often how we treat our struggles too.
Whether it's lust, anger, pride, bitterness, self-criticism, foul language, anxiety, or something else entirely, the enemy loves when we keep it hidden. Shame grows in darkness. Secrets grow in darkness. But God's healing begins when we bring things into the light.
James 5:16 doesn't tell us to announce our struggles to the whole world. It tells us to find trusted believers who will pray for us, encourage us, and walk beside us.
I can honestly tell you God has brought me a long way. I'm not who I used to be. I'm not where I want to be yet either. But by God's grace, I'm growing.
And so are you.
Don't focus only on where you've fallen. Remember how far God has already brought you. π
π "Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another." β James 5:16
