We finally got all of our photos put together from the delivery/install last weekend!! We had 2 projects that we’ve been working on for the same customer. So here it goes!!
Project 1: We built a custom 8 foot long Cedar dining table with a matching 8 foot long Cedar Bench. Both the table and the bench top feature custom breadboard ends for that farmhouse style feel. The bench and tabletop were sanded smooth at 220 grit and clear coated with General Finishes Satin. The table frame was custom built by my dad, Phil Sage, and features beautiful ,custom, hinge style leveling feet. The frame was clear coated in it’s natural state to preserve that rustic steel look. Thank you, Dad, for all of your help with this project. It really means the world to me!
Project 2: We built two 48in and two 42in shelves to compliment the beautiful fireplace in the new-construct home. We used two 9 foot long slabs of live edge walnut to make all 4 shelves. We debarked the shelves, sanded to a smooth 220 grit, and clear coated with General Finishes Satin.
Caleb Feige and I had an absolute blast with these projects and learned so much along the way. We can’t thank Kandace and Ken Edwards enough for allowing us to build some really neat projects for their brand new custom built home. Can’t wait for our first family dinner around this massive table!
Here at Ky’s Kustoms, we know that things are weird right now and life is a little bit hard. We hope everyone is happy, healthy, and doing well! We pray that is all over soon!!
Also, check out my Aunt Kandace’s photography skills with these projects! Thanks for capturing the pure beauty!
Shoutout to my wife, Kelsey Sage, for being patient with me through all of the long hours spent on these projects. Y’all, get you a good partner who encourages you to go to the shop and build your dreams. I am definitely blessed to have her by my side.
One last thank you to my Grandma Carol Romick Sage for all of the late night fresh baked cookies, they really keep us going through these projects!
