It took me 6 months back in 2015 to learn cushions , but a YEAR to do them RIGHT. It starts with good fabric. This is SUNBRELLA outdoor fabric purchased by my new SHERIDAN customer. Proper cushions are the result of a PLAN, PATIENCE , MEASURE 2X, CUT ONCE , They're still HARD! LOL. John.

I don't normally endorse other businesses but when I ran into this fabric I was impressed. This is the Liz Jordan collection of stain resistant fabric. You can spill drinks, Kool aid and write on them with a crayon and it won't harm them! Great colors , soft and inviting. Very nice.. if your interested let me know. I'm carrying there brand now!

Not sure how other upholsters keep there tacks straight and even but I invented this technique. It works pretty well with a $1.00 flexible tape on my new Russiaville customers chairs!

HAPPY (almost) SPRING everybody. , I got a new sewing machine last week. It's the ABSOLUTE BEST you can buy for upholstery work. So powerful, it will sew through PLYWOOD! No kidding, (and fingers. ) Lol I'm going to need it. Look at the size of these outdoor cushions I'm getting ready to do.... 4 of them are 8 inches thick! Yikes. "Bring it to me. Let's get it done"!

Happy NEWYEAR Furniture FANS! Hope it was good year for you and many Blessings this coming 2026! I ended the year today in the shop finishing up a WINGBACK for my new customer Carolyn in RUSSIAVILLE. She provided this tan suede fabric, and it turned out nice. Suede is a little fussy and you have to brush it a lot.. Heres a before/after. I must say I like BUFFALO WINGS better than WINGBACKS but HEY.... "I GOTTER DONE" !

I have a customer ready to pick up there 1930 family heirloom Hope Chest and corner cabinet I restored. I didn't feel worthy! It turned out nice. I hope they like it.

Hi furniture lovers! I just finished restoration of an antique 10 piece maple dinette set for a customer from Galveston ,IN . They came all the way to my little town to have me do the work ( Im HONORED) It was made in Shelbyville, IN many decades ago , its finished in polyurethane, special wood toners and I upholstered the seats in high quality vinyl. Looks great!

Just finished his little antique recliner, the old fabric was around 1962. The new fabric has flowers and goes with just about any decor, has a fresh look now.
