This space began with a floating, central island designed for gathering on all sides - for friends and family to participate in meal prep and enjoy their food just as it comes off the heat - making dinner a shared, relationship-building experience.

The perimeter is packed with organization, and thanks to our talented field team, this space truly came to life.

Library Ladders aren't just for libraries anymore! We like to look at spaces from our clients' perspective to ensure the space is functional for their personal needs. In this case, with all the pantry storage running vertically, we suggested adding a library ladder for better access, making it easy to get to any thing on any shelf, no matter how high. The deep emerald green lacquer provides a contrast to the items on the shelves - improving storage and accessibility, while also adding a fun pop of color for a truly personalized space.

One of the great things about working in the Hudson Valley is the occasional oppurtunity to work in homes with history. In this 100 year old carriage house, the interiors were designed with soft curves, textured plaster finishes, and subtly contrasted tones to create a warm and tranquil space.

In keeping with such calm aesthetics, our in-house millwork team gave special attention to custom routed pulls in the doors and veneer wrapped radiused ends in the kitchen to echo the soft curves which are featured throughout the home. The shadow line detail under the slim porcelain countertops create the illusion of a floating work surface - which is fitting for a space that feels so airy to begin with.

We were also fortunate enough to work on millwork in other areas of the home to help create a flow of continuity and provide areas for organization to make the home ready for everyday living. Special thanks to Catskill Image for the inspired capture.

The South Mountain House is situated at the base of Mohonk Mountain, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding forest.

This luxurious space is highlighted by the lush backdrop, and such a testament to the team of talented collaborators we are so honored to work with: Architecture by Studio MM Lighting & Furniture by Weiss Turkus Projects , Build by Peak Construction, and an inspired capture by feinknopf studio.

Designing the space with pops of contrast & custom island shelving was fun, but our favorites are the parts you might not see: the concealed double ovens, hidden rollout appliance storage, and countertops that flow right into the windows. It's the thoughtful details that really allow the home itself to shine, we're so grateful to have been a part of this one!

Mixing warm and moody undertones while keeping a kitchen bright and airy is a concept we often like to bat around and this collaboration with Spruce Design + Decor was extra special. (Swipe for more!)

Set in a historic stone house, the clients wanted a clean, modern design, while leveraging authentic materials and craftsmanship to pay homage to all of the original details throughout the home.

Cabinets built in our wood shop and installed by our own team - this was a labor of love for designers we love!
