Blazei Hooftrimming LLC Hoof trimming dairy cattle in Northeast Wisconsin since 1987. John Blazei was raised on a dairy farm in Stangelville, WI and became a herdsman on a local dairy.

In 1986 John started building his own mobile hoof trimming truck while doing an apprenticeship with another hoof trimmer. When the truck was completed in 1987, Blazei Hooftrimming was established. Over the years, John has worked to improve the procedures and equipment for his business. He became a member of the Hoof Trimmers Association, attended conferences and has worked with other trimmers help

ing them improve their equipment. Working with veterinarians and nutritionists, John has learned to address cow needs including metabolic problems that cause foot issues. He works with farms and support staff to find ways to handle foot issues in a positive way and to transition cattle into new facilities. John has expanded his business to accommodate all farm sizes. In 2015, with 11 employees, a sixth truck was added. Blazei Hooftrimming LLC trimmed approximately 100,000 cows a year. The customer's dairies ranged in size from 40 cows to 7,000 cows. Since 1987, John retained customers and contributed to their farm's growth and change with technology and within the industry. When asked what he enjoys about his work, " The relationships I have with customers, industry people and my hoof trimming staff; all which give me the ability to meet the needs of individual farms." In November 2025, John retired and closed the business.
