Robert Cheramie Fine Furniture I am a retired merchant marine engineering officer who now can spend his time with his first love building fine custom furniture.

I began my woodworking career over 30 years ago in the New Orleans area, designing and building custom fireplace mantles and bookcases. Some of the areas finest homes contain pieces of my craftsmanship. Drawing from the rich traditions of fine southern furniture and British campaign furniture based on classical Greek proportions I limit my output today to a few small pieces made only of the best available hardwoods such as mahogany and walnut.

End table is made entirely of solid mahogany and sepele hardwood. Drawers are made of secondary hardwood with hand cut dovetails.
The feet are embellished with hand carved scrolls. The design is after an antique campaign piece.
