It’s been a little bit since I had a post, but today we just finished the full coat on a custom repurpose job. The table was originally a door that came from an antique dealer. My customer saved all the beer caps for the fill (I bet it was fun!)! First it took several coats to seal pall the gaps, knot holes, and defects so it can hold fluid. After that all the caps were added with a thin layer of resin bond it down. Then the fill, it took two pours to achieve this point. I use thin layers to ensure a clear even pour without an exothermic reaction (it’s a big word and not a good thing). After this cures up I’ll finish off with a flood coat, then sanding and polishing. Its new life will be a coffee table that I’m sure will be the center piece of the room! Thanks Tiffany for letting me do a cool and creative job!
