While often overshadowed by the larger high-end brands like BroyHill or Lane, Ward MFG Co. is still a favorite among those who truly appreciate Mid-Century pieces!

This piece highlights that you don’t always need sculpted geometric shapes, loud eccentric hardware, or an over-the-top design! Instead, pulling inspiration from Scandinavian and Danish designs, using clean lines, and showcasing the beautiful wood grain is a perfect recipe for an iconic MCM piece, just like this!

Vintage MCM- “Profile” Dinning Set-

The Drexel Profile dinning set is a classic piece of American Mid-Century Modern history. The Drexel Profile collection was known for its beautiful soft lines and beautiful rich tones of their walnut and pecan construction!

John Van Koert, the man behind the Drexel Profile collection, was a jewelry designer for Harry Winston after WWII. This background is why Profile pieces often have hardware that resemble elegant earrings or brooches and why their sculpted shapes, arched tapered legs, and wood grain that seems to flow from one piece to the next! Really highlighting Koert’s design philosophy for this collection, which was to have "no abrupt angles"!

This set has been meticulously restored & reupholstered by The Atomic Walnut KC! Featuring the same classic design, original brass latches and extension rails, the original Drexel trademark stamps, matching serial numbers on the bottom of the table & all 4 chairs, new beautiful finish, and brand new upholstery!

This incredible set is the perfect way to reimagine and brighten your home this summer!

In celebration of our very first “First Friday” in the West Bottoms, we’ve prepared the first part in this year’s Collectors Collection!

The Atomic Walnut presents to you:

Three. Dueling. Designers.

The coveted Young Manufacturing Co. Boomerang Dresser as part of their SimplictĂŠ line. Very few were made; even less remain. A true once in a lifetime find!

The incredible United Manufacturing Corp. walnut long dresser, an incredibly rare icon to find from a titan of MCM furniture!

Last but not least, the renowned Glenn of California solid walnut dresser ( #29 of 100 produced) made in 1950. Few know of designer, Stanley Young, who crafted this masterpiece. Stanley Young was not only behind the design of this piece and its highly sought after “futuristic” hardware, but was the founder of Glenn of California and its design school, where designers like Herman Miller, Richard Thompson, and Greta Grossman trained under him. Stanley put California on the MCM furniture map and was dubbed the Father of California Modern Design!

To find even one of these pieces is a collectors dream. To find all three in one place… may be the eighth wonder of the world.
