First off want to thank you again for the 8 weeks of anger management classes. You would always say," that it says a lot about who we are dedicating our Saturday morning to attend class". I want to say the same to you. Taking your time on a Saturday morning to help those of us who need it is wonderful. Even though it was court order I came to look at it as a great blessing. Mr. Dumas you were a great coach and went over a lot of important points. Anger control emotional fitness analysis was a eye opener for me and I absorbed the material you presented. I took notes on it all so I can review it as a reminder that my past does not define who I am. Helping me to remember that I ultimately hold the power on how I view my cognitive distortions to control my thoughts and emotions. Telling myself (I'm not a failure). In that I can move forward to become a better version of myself. Taking bigger strides at mindfulness. BE MORE, DO MORE, HAVE MORE.

Although I do receive comments and feedback very often, I really need to share them more often.

Feedback from a recent participant.

Things about the class, I feel like it did help to ‘reset’ my mind and get back on track to get where I want to be in life. In the video yesterday you mentioned continuing education and I am going back to school this fall to finish my degree. I think it helped me to think more clearly and in different ways and I’m learning to set boundaries which was one of the biggest challenges for me going into the class. I feel like the class really helped me. Thank you for all of your help!

12 weeks of the Dumas company for me went by in the blink of an eye. I was on a good path of my recovery already, and the Dumas Company gave me the motivional words of encouragement I didn't know I wanted to maintain that momentum.
This class was unlike any recovery class I'd ever attended. My first session I was flabbergasted by how little was left open to the class. Not to say there were never open discussion moments or sporadic input, but comparatively, less. As weeks went by however, I saw many positives to this. In general we, as a class, listened more. We took the information given and applied it to our personal and diverse lives individually. There is a lot to learn from Gary Dumas. His delivery of what people need to hear is matched with a rare talent of coming across indearing, powerful, humble, and honest.
12 weeks went by in a blink of an eye, but it's foundation gives the tools to face changes for a lifetime.

What a way to start this year off!

Gary I truly think that you are an amazing man what you were doing for these people and for me as a blessing from God and I really appreciate what you do for this community I've never met anyone quite like you and I just want to let you know and show my appreciation and I did that by starting to get my life together I got a car now transportation got a brand new phone I start my new job tonight overnight working at IHOP is overnight cook I used to work there so thank you Gary talkin sense to me you're amazing and I would like to actually speak with you more even though we're done with the class I think you're a good guy and I would definitely like to get to know you thank you have a great day Gary

Gary,

I want to start off by saying u truly are an inspiration like I'd told you before I've been seeing drug counselors on and off from the age 16 not only for drug use but, I was molested by my father so I've spoke to a ton. Yourself, another women one was ———- from ———, the other —— from ——— counciling but, The three of you are the only ones to make an impact one my life. To actually have someone believe in you is truly an amazing thing ! Coming from an addict that didn't happen too much for me family included. I was black sheep of the family so no one even understood about 3 years ago my sister is now 36 and she decided to start using m**h which I had used on and off since I was 16 she used to call me a crackhead and every name under the book she told me I lied about our father of molesting me anyhow she took off and left her 10 year old daughter so I raise her now and my four-year-old if it wasn't for them two I don't know where I would be then recently found out I'm pregnant.... Anyhow enough about me so in 2017 my child's father came out of prison and immediately went to the dumus company. And it was awesome because he was so excited for class even after getting off work for long hours . So in 2019 I caught a charge but with my 3-year-old at the time full time and my 10-year-old niece going to counseling DFS All the above I hadn't made it into treatment which was a stipulation of my probation so when I was looking it up after I moved out to grain valley I saw the Dumas company was online and I remembered how much my child's father like the class I immediately called and enrolled and from the moment that I did I knew that he was going to make an impact in my life I don't know how but I do know that and I'm very very thankful and blessed to have a counselor that believes in me. The worst thing in the world is to have a counselor that has never been through anything. One of my favorite parts about the newest company is not Every class is about substance abuse because as an addict that's all you ever hear about so Gary inspires me to be a better person and I'm very thankful for the dumus company his class makes me actually want to be a better person.

Also I want u to know I really take in what u teach us and I try to use it through out the week I look forward to class weekly I'd like to continue to attend after. Thank you Gary for the help last week and always
