Great summary of the issues facing our city if the Royals stadium plan goes through. There are still far too many holes in the plan and too little details shared with just four weeks before the vote.

The Royals are pitching a $1 billion sales tax to pay for a new stadium, but they’ll need another $700 million to make the stadium happen. That’s where the team expects Kansas City and Missouri to come in.

“Sun Bowl”, by Jim Garner. Turned on a lathe and then carved to create the flames along the edge, the bowl was created exclusively for Madison Flitch’s Fire collection.

The bowl is a functional item, but may be hung from the wall as an art piece.

Available now online or through our showroom.

Locally sourced walnut - 16" x 4"
Bowl turned on a lathe and carved to create the flames along the rim.
Finished with boiled linseed oil/shellac mixture as well as tung oil/wax.

Throw Back Thursday to the time I made a studio dining table from a 200-year ild walnut tree harvested near the spot where Kansas City was founded along the Missouri river. I left some of the live edge in the legs, too. 😁
