Training & Fundraising Update #3: Training continues and we had a beautiful but cold 50 mile ride on Saturday, only to walk up to snow again this morning. I guess it back inside to the trainer again.

My training buddy, James, is still working to hit his fund raising goal, so if any of my friends, family, or business associates are still interested in helping us raise money for the Camp Make-a- Dream camp and activities for cancer patients, please consider giving at

Training and Fundraising Update #2: Training is coming along and got to have a beautiful Saturday morning ride on the east side of the valley this past weekend! We had a quick stop for fuel on the new Bigfork bridge and soaking up the sun!!
A big thank you to my fundraising donors so far as I have reached my funding goal! My riding buddy, James Thorne is still working toward his fundraising goal though, so if anyone is out there and still wanting to contribute, please consider clinking the link below and donating through James' account, as it all goes to the same place!!

Another color pallet sample featuring an off white painted cabinet package with medium toned wood floors. We are looking at some copper accent tiles to play in with the rust colored portions of the back splash tile and to pull from the multi-colored granite counter tops. The customer already has stainless and black appliances, so to tie it all together we're looking at the black cabinet hardware and likely plumbing fixtures and sink.

A little color pallet sample for a new customer we are working with. Light wood floors to contrast the medium tone cabinetry. Darker brown granite tops with a light and bright tile backsplash with metal tones to blend with the stainless cabinet hardware and appliance/plumbing finishes.

Update on my training and fundraising efforts: I've had the ability to get outside and ride the last two weekends, which is a treat for MT in February! Weekday rides on the trainer and weight workouts are rotated throughout the week. Progressing slowly back to my bike legs, but progressing none the less. A big thanks to my fundraising donors as I'm 20% of the way to my $1000 fundraising goal. For those that would like to contribute still the link to my fundraising info site is runsignup.com/buildingforthefuture . I'm working to reach my fundraising goal by 4/15, so I can focus on the physical training the balance of April & May. I'll keep you all posted on the progress and I thank you, in advance, for your consideration in donating to this cause.

I took the opportunity to upgrade the truck and trailer earlier this month, and finally had a nice day to put them together and get some pictures! If you see me around town, give a thumbs up, wave, or bump on the horn to let me know it’s getting attention. Wrap Hive did a great job in helping design and layout the details. Jill Bridgeman Media did a great job on the job site photos used. Another collaborative project with great partners!! ,

For 2026 I've committed myself to get back on my bike, as it's been years since I did any serious rides, and have set a goal to ride the RATPOD (Ride Around The Pioneers in One Day). This is a 127 mile ride with a little over 6000' of climbing at a respectable elevation to start with. As some of you know I have done multiple running events in the past with the Leukemia Society as fund raisers. While this event is a major funding resource for Camp-Make-A-Dream, none of the proceeds go toward race registration, travel or lodging. This camp supports cancer patients and families, providing a series of free camps from May through Sept. every year. Anyone who has faced cancer, or knows someone who has, know how important a support structure is and having opportunity to build friendships and connections with others facing similar challenges. I have set a personal goal to raise $1000 for this years event and would ask that you consider a contribution to this worthy cause. to donate you can access my donation page at https://runsignup.com/buildingforthefuture . If you are interested in participating in this ride, or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Thanking you, in advance for your consideration/donation. Have a Great Day!

Thank you for visiting my RATPOD fundraising page! RATPOD is a one-day cycling event that raises money for Camp Mak-A-Dream and this year RATPOD is on its 24th year!! This annual event is not just about cycling; it's about making a difference in the lives of cancer survivors and their families b...

Out of the old and into the new… shop that is! In the “quiet time” of the holidays I moved into a new heated shop space. I’m not totally moved in yet, but a big step forward. I will shortly have year round cabinet storage capabilities and the ability to address any needed shop time without concerns about the weather. Here’s to a productive 2026!!

Happy New Year to all! I don't usually get to involved in the "trend" colors, door styles, or fads in the design community, as my focus has always been the individual customers I am working with and what is the best solution for their particular design. In that I gather not only their personal taste and feelings on color, texture, and styles, but also look at what fits the architecture of the house, and the timeline they plan to be in the home. All these things direct the overall design and personal fit for the customer with the project.

When I saw the 2026 Pantone color of the year was a white, I almost laughed, as I'm sure many others did as well. First off there are a million "whites" out there, so the first critics will likely comment on that this is a specific white, which is all well and good but it's a white! In my humble opinion white is a timeless color, and has been a vial color selection for your primary elements (in my world that means cabinets), for the last 30+ years I've been in the kitchen and bath business. Accenting white cabinetry with alternate colors of paint, cabinet hardware, plumbing & lighting fixtures can make the same room feel completely different to the customers and at the same time allows for the transition from one homeowner to another without completely blowing up the room on a renovation. I took a recent master bath project and transitioned the cabinet hardware, lighting and plumbing fixtures only to provide a quick visual change to the space with the following pictures, as an example. Let me know your thoughts on this revolutionary "white" color of the year, and if this is really anything new!

A short video on a laundry room I completed for my father in law about 18 months ago. This fit with the specialty storage theme we’ve been featuring so I thought I’d share again.
