If any of your vehicles have a GVWR of 55,000 lbs or more, don’t forget to file your IRS Form 2290 (Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax) for the upcoming tax period:

FMCSA Medical Certification Rule Changes – Effective June 23, 2025
Big changes are coming for CDL & CLP drivers!

What’s New:🚨
✔️ No more paper medical cards or submissions—Medical Examiners will now send exam results electronically to FMCSA & your state DMV.
✔️ Drivers no longer need to carry a paper medical card (after the 15-day grace period).
✔️ Employers must pull the CDL MVR after each physical to verify medical status—no more collecting paper cards or verifying ME registry status.
✔️Drivers with medical variances (like exemptions) must still carry that paperwork.

These changes aim to reduce fraud, streamline compliance, and enhance safety.

FMCSA ELD Update –This week!

Monday the FMCSA has revoked 8 ELDs from Gorilla Fleet Safety, LLC, including AllwaysTrack, Command Alkon Trackit, ELDX, and others, due to non-compliance with federal standards. These devices are now on the Revoked Devices List.

Motor carriers have until July 11, 2025 to replace them with compliant ELDs. Until then, drivers must use paper logs or logging software.

Continued use after the deadline will result in violations and possible out-of-service orders.

Stay compliant – check the FMCSA Registered Devices list and update your ELDs ASAP https://eld.fmcsa.dot.gov/List
