Wall Hanger Turnip Mix
A blend of Purple top Turnips and Dwarf Essex Rape. This mix is cold hardy as well as drought tolerant. Containing up to 25% protein this mix will continue providing for your herd throughout the fall and deep into the winter. Best results for this mix are at a soil P.H. level of 6-6.5. 200-300 lbs. of 19-19-19 fertilizer per acre is recommended. Liming is also recommended for a P.H. below 5.5.

Death Trap Clover Mix
With a proven 5 year growth this clover blend is a highly adaptable and consistent choice for food plots all over North America. Producing up to 75% protein and its ability to thrive in cool, wet environments its clear why clovers are so widely chosen. This blend contains Ladino, Berseem, and Alsike clovers. Best results for this mix are at a soil P.H. level of 5.5. Planting depth is recommended at 1/8"-1/4". 200-300 lbs of 6-24-24 fertilizer per acre. Liming is recommended at a P.H. below 5.5. Fertilizing and Liming is strongly encouraged each Spring following a soil test, in order to achieve longer plot life and healthier growth. Mowing should be done when invasive grasses reach 12-15".

Hearty Greens Seed Mix
A blend of Winter Wheat and Winter Rye in this blend makes is highly preferred. It takes little to no tilling and will grow just about anywhere. With this blend seed to soil contact is an absolute must. The better the seed to soil contact, the better the growth. This blend will begin being grazed throughout the entire fall and will continue long after seasons have ended. Providing your herd with fresh grazing greens all fall and winter. It is recommended a soil P.H. level of 5.5 is obtained. If below 5.5 liming is a must. 300 lbs of 19-19-19 fertilizer per acre.

Monster Buck Clover Mix
Considered as one of the most consistent mixes because of it's high protein content, up to 40%. This mix is an easy to grow option, thriving in cool weather and wet environments.
This highly attractive mix contains Ladino clover, red clover, white dutch clover, crimson clover, and chicory. It is recommended a soil P.H. level of 5.5 or higher for best results. 200 to 300 lbs of 6-24-24 fertilizer per acre.

No Till Seed Mix
A Blend of Forage Wheat, Crimson Clover, Dwarf Essex Rape, and Purple Top Turnips. This blend was created out of neccesity for the guys who may not have equipment in order to prep ground. With a rake, or a small cultivator you have the ability to open minimal soil and still yield a successful food plot. It is crucial to always gain seed to soil contact. The better the contact, the better the growth. Seeding rate is 5lbs per 1/4 acre. simply broadcast and then drag it or lightly rake it into your available soil. 300 lbs of 19-19-19 fertilizer is reccomended per acre. Liming is crucial is the soil has a PH below 5.5. Planting date From July 15 to September 1st.

We are off to look at an upcoming job site in the morning. After looking at some aerial images and maps this property looks fantastic.

We were asked to put our expertise to work on a land job over the past 10 days.
This property has 100's of acres of prime bedding and security cover. Plenty of ponds and a stream running through it, it was just missing food. Through a bunch of long days and a lot of sweat we've created about 7 acres of premium food plots consisting of our death trap clover blend, our final stand blend, our hearty greens blend and our no till blend. We cannot wait to see the follow up pictures as well as the landowners success pictures. Thanks to Laura and Stefan Caporletti for trusting us to tackle this job.
