✨ Meet Rene — the woman who started it all! ✨

We’ve been talking about introducing you to all of the amazing vendors who make The Haberdashery what it is today. But before we introduce everyone else, we have to start at the very beginning… with Rene! ❤️

Six years ago, Rene had a vision — to create a place where artistic and creative people could come together, share their creations, and have the opportunity to grow their small businesses, all under one roof.

And even the name has a story of its own!

When it came time to name the store, Rene remembered the 2015 Western thriller “The Hateful Eight.” The store in the movie was called The Haberdashery — and the name stuck! In July 2020, The Haberdashery officially opened its doors. ✨

What started as an idea has since grown into an incredible creative community of 30 talented vendors, each bringing their own unique style, talent, and passion through the doors.

And Rene is so much more than the person who started it all. She’s behind the scenes supporting, inspiring, encouraging, and helping manage the business side of things — giving our vendors more time to focus on what they do best: create!

The Haberdashery has become a place where artists and makers can share their work, support one another, connect with the community, and grow together.
