First posting to catch up, a custom twin XL over a queen in an "L" configuration painted white. This bed idea was sent to us by picture as a design idea, and it turned out well. I did have trouble with the safety rail, which was a new design for me, and a minor miscalculation on my end resulted in a second trip with a whole new rail to complete it. Thanks to the Anderson's for your business, thanks for the patience, and thanks for the great pics!

Kris and I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Looking back, I somehow got away from posting updates along with everything else we had going on on Facebook this past year, and as a resolution decided to get back to it. We did stay busy somewhat during the year, I don't have a lot of pictures to show for it on some things, which made it look like that we weren't still keeping on with the business, but we are still going. The last few years have been a challenge, just like with a lot of businesses with dealing with COVID, followed by inflation. We have managed to keep going when a lot of businesses didn't, but it has been a challenge like I said. I will work at doing better with the posting, and will do the best I can to get all the ones we did get out, and from there stay current with what we are doing. Thanks to all who have and continue to support us and spread the word. We couldn't keep going without you, and can't put into words what it means to us.

This is the first replacement, finished with Minwax Early American wood finish (Kris is real fond of that finish) and Minwax Helmsman spar urethane, which is an outdoor poly, not the one I used last time. So I guess we are going to find out how long it lasts this time.....................

Couple of posts today. Back in spring 2018 I posted showing off the planter boxes I made for Kris to plant flowers in, doing that having not done any research at all as to how to finish them properly for the outside. These are the pictures of them then, after 5 years they have now reached the end of their career. So I have started in my spare time to replace them. Most of the work won't be done until next spring, but am working on it slowly. Another post coming up.......

Another family helped out. The Wrights asked us to build them this Twin over Full Mission model bunk bed, with a skirting on it and a twin trundle underneath. Finished with Rustoleum Kona and Minwax Semigloss polyurethane. Thanks so much for your business! And a shout out to the Kirkpatrick family for the recommendation!

Ok, well that was good timing! Posted about the beds that went to Florida yesterday at noon, and last night I got the actual pictures from them. So here they are in their vacation home down in Florida, they let me know they are now grandkid tested and approved, everyone loves them. Thanks to the Stevenson's for ordering from us!

So, three orders filled, all picked up, but no pictures to show for it, so going to substitute the best I can. We can officailly add another state to the list of ones we have beds in, Florida. I think we had a family move there and take theirs with them, but now we have a couple of the ones pictured down there. A family from Minn. ordered them to put in a home they have down there. Two twin over twin Standard models painted with Sherman Williams Pro Classic semi gloss white paint.

Second posting of the week, trying to catch up. A Standard Model Twin Twin bunk bed that separates, with a skirting and 36" drawers on wheels under it. Done in Classic Gray. Thanks to the Boylan family!!

So haven't posted in a bit, we have been busy, but have had several pick up orders, with no pictures to show. Here are a couple of pics sent by the Olsen family who got the standard platform bed with 18" drawers we made for them set u[. It was done in Minwax Golden Oak with Poly. Thanks for the picture!

So I am not sure that the bed picture I promised to post is coming, the family picked it up. So in place of it, I will post a similar picture of what they ordered. A full standard platform bed with a set of 18" drawers. Minwax Golden Oak with semi-gloss polyurethane was the finish they asked for. Thanks to the Olsen family for letting us help you out!

So, to kind of check in with everybody, we do have a actual bed pic to post coming up next week, but for today, a fun posting. Couple of years back I watched Q and Samuel while Hazel was being born, and while at the shop, I ended up making some building blocks for them to play with. They had a lot of fun with them, and Kris decided that she and the boys could paint them. But in the almost two years since then, that hasn't happened. So while working on the pinewood derby cars for Cub Scouts, I got all the paint out for the boys to choose from to paint their cars, and decided to paint the blocks while I had it out. After the derby last Saturday, we got to watch the kids, and I got the ones I had done out for them to play with. As you can see they had a great time with them. They made a racetrack, a dinosaur pen, a tower, and grandpa made the aircraft carrier and battleship for them. You can see Hazel got involved also, however, she wandered off with one of the long ones, and we haven't found it yet. Kind of like Quinton with one of Talyn's derby car wheels, he had it, but can't remember what he did with it. These blocks are 12, 8, and 4 inches long, and mom liked them so much that I guess you could say she ordered a set. Fun fun fun!

Another order done. The Heim family, who we did a bunk bed for back in 2014 asked if we could do a full loft for them. Done from a picture, I slimmed it down some to try to match it, and also replicated the "fence" look for the rails and braces. Finish on it is Minwax Golden Oak with semi-gloss polyurethane. And we want to thank them for coming back and ordering again!
