This fresh set of walnut dining chairs are hitting the road soon as a couple’s 50th wedding anniversary gift to themselves! (Still needs a few coats of oil)

That being said once a year or so I have a larger project fall through which messes with timelines on things. Fortunately for y’all if anyone is in the hunt for a piece of furniture or set of cabinets I’m now a couple months out as opposed to 6ish. I also have a couple open lumber orders I’ll be filling in the next week. so now would really be an ideal time if you’re in the hunt for something:)

I often get asked what my favorite wood to work with is and usually I say walnut since that’s the most popular but figured Sapele is a close second. I build a fair amount of pieces out of it and it’s just so damn purty. Anywho I have a batch of this on order so if you’re in the hunt for a rocking chair or dining set let me know before it’s all snatched up (it typically doesn’t last long for obvious reasons).

Not all beds are made the same. Some you screw together from ikea and they fall apart in a couple weeks. Some weigh a few hundred pounds and your kids either fight over who gets them when you’re gone or who has to move the dang thing.

This one (far from finished) is out of claro walnut and epoxy. If you’re in the hunt for a new bedroom set let me know. Everything is custom and you’d be surprised it’s not too far off of big box stores:)

As usual I haven’t had time to take decent pics but this lil feller left the shop and is headed west. If you’re in the hunt for a dining set I’m building chairs now and if you’re after a rocking chair I have a couple snazzy ones on hand:) side note the last shipment of walnut I received is exceptional and would make a dining set worthy of many family get togethers.

Sometimes I get to build furniture for friends. This particular set went to my oldest friend and his family for their new home. It’s also a reminder a nice dining set that’ll last basically forever doesn’t need to break the bank.

In a world full of furniture fads, one thing that never goes out of style is walnut. This wood has been a symbol of luxury for generations—long before President Taft won the first Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

That being said I have a shipment of phenomenal walnut being delivered this week and some very nice claro walnut on hand that is ready to become your family’s next heirloom:) let me know if you’re in the hunt for something snazzy.

Made it on the KSN summer road trip! A couple weeks ago when asked if they could stop by I instantly said yes because I knew it would force me to clean the shop.
