My story

Originally from Oklahoma, Desiree Hicks has uprooted and moved the place she’s called home frequently as an Army spouse. Desiree has always had a love for furniture and design. Today, she’s able to work with many people and styles – continuously evolving with the trends and finding the most functional and fashionable pieces for her clients.

As a Design Consultant at Furnitureland South, Desiree is able to create room plans, stylized moodboards and customized furniture for her clients that admire one-of-a-kind pieces built by trusted brands. This is the furniture she desires for her family and the kind of furniture that she’s passionate about providing for you, too.

“If your family is anything like mine, then you understand the necessity of a sofa that’s comfortable and big enough for the entire family,” she said. “We curl up to watch movies and celebrate our teams’ most rewarding wins all together in the living room regularly!” Desiree said that when she’s not at the office or snuggled up with her family on her sofa, you can find her sitting on the sidelines of her son’s baseball game or lounging on the beach.
