What you’re seeing is the right side of this jacket is Leather and the left side is denim. The asymmetrical composition immediately commands attention. The juxtaposition of rugged indigo denim against deep black leather creates a deliberate tension — softness versus edge, heritage versus disruption. It feels unapologetically deconstructed, as if two histories collided and decided to coexist rather than compete.

What elevates the garment into something deeply personal are the curated portrait elements. Positioned almost like sacred relics, the imagery transforms the jacket into an emotional archive, giving it intimacy within its street-luxury attitude. These placements are intentional, functioning as memory markers rather than decoration, drawing the eye toward narrative before aesthetics.

Design, to me, is storytelling through fabric, texture, and imagination.  

When Zayclachet came to me for a custom piece to wear to the Michael Jackson concert, she didn’t just want an outfit — she wanted an experience. She brought me her ideas, interests, and love for the King of Pop, and together we created a wearable tribute to Michael Jackson’s legendary evolution.

This piece captures his timeline — from the gifted young star, to the teenage superstar, and into the global icon he became as an adult. Every detail was intentionally designed to honor different eras of his artistry and impact.

The back of the piece carries even more history, featuring an actual blazer element alongside references to multiple hit songs and the unforgettable legacy of The Jackson 5 and his brothers. Every stitch was created with purpose, nostalgia, and artistic expression.

I truly had fun bringing this vision to life.

I’m from the streets of Philadelphia — I witnessed the rap battles in hallways and lunchrooms, and I’ve been in some of those same rooms myself. Art is what drives me; it’s what I do. So when you talk hip hop, I’ll let the art speak for itself.

The background dissolves into creamy greens and dark trunks, turning the woods into atmosphere rather than distraction. The bridge acts as a leading line, drawing the eye inward toward the subject’s gaze — which becomes the emotional anchor of the frame. That direct eye contact breaks the stillness and creates a sense of vulnerability and confidence simultaneously.

Color grading feels earthy and intentional: deep browns, warm skin tones, mossy greens, and sunlit golds all harmonize naturally. Nothing feels overly polished or artificial. The bare feet against the wood add tactile realism, making the portrait feel lived-in rather than staged overall it’s a yes 4 me. #

From behind the lens, what struck me wasn’t just the light catching her skin or the texture of the wood beneath her feet. It was the stillness she carried in contrast to the restless geometry of the forest. The lines of the bridge pull the eye forward, but her presence stops time in the middle of that motion.

As a photographer, this is the kind of image you wait for: not perfection, but honesty. Light that cannot be replicated. A pose that doesn’t feel posed. A moment where nature, subject, and silence agree to exist together for just long enough to press the shutter.

What makes the image visually rich outside of Beauty is the relationship between the wardrobe and the environment. The mural in the background acts almost like a painted extension of the subject’s energy. Soft waves of muted coral, lavender, mint green, powder blue, and warm cream sweep across the wall in organic motion. Those pastel color palettes echo the pink suit without competing against it, creating harmony across the entire frame. Instead of isolating the subject from the setting, the colors allow her to feel connected to the space — like she belongs inside a living piece of modern art
