“Just in time for Thanksgiving”
We delivered this 1890’s pool table to a local customer.
The table model is the Southern and was made by Brunswick~Balke~Collender in Chicago. It is a Pro 8’ table with a playing surface of 46” x 92”. What sets this table apart from most Southern models is the sharks tooth trim around the lower cabinet frame. I have included a picture of a 9’ Southern we have at the store to compare the design differences.

We have just completed delivery of this 1920's Wendt Grand pool table. The table was made by Wendt in Milwaukee however branded as a Brunswick Balke Collender. The 1920's was such a busy time for the billiards industry that Brunswick would contract with Wendt to fill local orders on some of their tables.
This table featured solid capped Indian Rosewood rails and was veneered with wonderfully grained Circassian Walnut.

We recently acquired this Time & Price Register. It was made for the J.E. Came Co. by special order from the Waterbury Clock Co. It has a patent date of 1868 on the dial. These were used in pool halls to mark the time each player occupied a table. The outer dial spins counter clockwise and the pin number identifies each player’s time on a table in increments of one cent per minute.
This was a great early example and a rare collectable to complete a Victorian pool room. We sold it very quickly to a local collector.

Restoration work was just completed on this 1870's Brunswick & Balke Monarch pool table. This is a magnificent 4 1/2' x 9' Rosewood pool table. Without a doubt it is the best Monarch we ever had the pleasure to work on, other than replacement of the rail tops this table is 100% original.

We recently delivered and set up this 1880’s Brunswick Poplar to a serious antique collector. The table was previously restored, however after we brought it to our shop, we realized that the legs were re-veneered with the grain running in the wrong direction. The veneer was a low-quality reconstituted rosewood. We replaced the veneer with quality real rosewood and gave the table a clean finish coat prior to final installation.

In time for Thanksgiving; we delivered and set up this 1890's Brunswick pool table to a Chicago customer. They had us restore this mahogany table in a custom ebonized finish. I was reluctant at first however the final result was a stunning contrast to traditional mahogany color tones.
