hi my friends! it’s been a long time…too long 🙈

i’ve had lots of stretching, pivoting, pushing, and many moments of trying again while i navigate this new season of my life. at this time i have decided to step away from restoring and refinishing furniture. while i have loved doing something i created— i don’t have a space anymore to do that type of work in my cute little house 🥹🥹

i started a job six months ago at chick-fil-a unexpectedly. it has been a blessing to be a part of this restaurant. i have chosen to create and further my career at this store. i never expected to be here (or a restaurant period) and i definitely didn’t expect i would love it as much as i do….LOVE ❤️ i am surrounded by an amazing team of people and leadership at CFA Ballentine. serving others in many ways has been VERY special to me. i say it all of the time, but to me, “it is so much more than chicken!” i am so HONORED to be chosen as part of the hospitality team and the “care champion” for our store.

gratefulness doesn’t even hold the weight of what i feel for this time in my life. oh, and i am 581 days seizure free! 2 years is just about in reach!

501 days is here. last night i was able to celebrate quite a big day that i have been waiting for since Nov 2, 2023.

hiiiiiiii everyone 👋🏼 i hope you are all doing so well. i’ve been so busy and i’m not able to put forth as many hours into my craft as i used to but i am still around 🥰

i was commissioned to refinish this very old and special three drawer chest of drawers. painted in the color “naval” by Sherwin-Williams with my Wagner Painting flexio 2500 paint sprayer. i sanded the top to raw wood and stained in the color “aged oak” by Minwax gel stains and finished with their wipe on gloss polyurethane. for this piece i didn’t want every imperfection filled in. it had dings and dents from over time that showed the age of this antique and i wanted to keep it just like that, perfect.

the hardware was replaced using these super cute k***s from Amazon.com —

i received this photo this morning of a table i had painted a few months back. i love the way its been styled and wanted to share! i had the vision for it to be some type of gardening table so to see plants displayed gives me all of the heart eyes 😍🩵 thanks again, Karen!
