Homespun Sewing, Alterations and More I have 25+ years of sewing experience, and I have started working on Upholstery a couple of years ago which I also really enjoyed doing.

This is just to give you insight into how much work it is to reupholster a piece of furniture; there are literally hundreds of staples that need to be removed all over. I would say removing old staples takes up about 50% of the time needed to complete a project.

I really love how well these dining chair slipcovers turned out. There is Velcro sewn onto the back of the seat to keep the slipcovers from shifting while being used. This is an easy way to update your dining room, and if they get dirty, you can simply take them off and throw them in the wash.
