An absolutely thrilling account from James H. Bolens of the 17th Indiana Mounted Infantry Co. F. who were alongside the 18th Indiana Light Artillery in the 14th Corp, 4th Division, 1st Brigade (Wilder’s Brigade) from 1863-64.

just transcribed the 1863-64 Diary of James H. Bolens of Co. F, 17th Indiana Mounted Infantry, part of Wilder's Lightning Brigade. Bolens was with his regiment through all the battles and skirmishes during this period. This is a great diary from a private collection.
